Now I have a flight to Aomori and will begin my solo Mountain Man Adventure for Japan.
Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
I enjoy fishing and will take my compact and lightweight Japanese Tenkara fly rod to Japan. It has been with me on three continents and in more than twenty countries. This will be its first visit to Asia.
This beauty was caught in a stream near Cashiers, North Carolina. Thanks to the kind young man at Brookings for always helping with my Tenkara.

Tokachi, in eastern Hokkaido, Japan, has many opportunities for trout fishing:
- Tokachi River has a gentle current and flat farmland and is home to large rainbow trout. Some recommend fishing in a tributary in early spring. Fishing methods include Western fly-fishing, Tenkara, and hook-and-line fishing.

The following Tenkara link is from Andy, who is why I know how to edit this WordPress.
