This sweet lady was on the bus from Cape Sōya when I was walking down National Hwy 238 in hopes of finding a place to stay the night. When the bus came along I flagged it down in hopes of finding a hotel / guest house / camping spot. Nothing was materializing. I call couple of places and got no answer or no English hang up. I asked the lady across the aisle about helping me. She begain calling and asking. She even asked the bus driver to help. Between the two of them they spotted Kasai Inn and asked if that would be ok for me. Oh yes! when we got in town with Kasai the bus stopped in front and the lady when to the door while I waited with the bus driver. She came back and said they had a place for me. No food. No problem. Turns out the food at Kasai Inn has been very special Japanese style and top quality served in a most gracious manner. I even noticed fishing complements from previous guests. Well we taled fishing and they directed me to Onishibetsugawa two blocks away. where I could expect to catch small brook trout. <more> tomorrow
